Copyright and Licensing Policy

Copyright on any open access article published in THE Journal is retained by the author(s). Authors grant The IME Journal a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher. Authors also grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its integrity is maintained and its original authors, citation details and publisher are identified.

The Indian Mining & Engineering Journal (The IME Journal) publishes open access articles. Thus the user can freely share (copy, distribute and transmit) and adapt the contribution including for commercial purposes, as long as the author is properly attributed.

 

Publishing Rights

The IME Journal allows its author(s) to retain publishing rights without restrictions.

 

Preprint Policy

The IME Journal will consider for review articles previously posted as preprints on any preprint server provided that:

· Author(s) should inform the journal at the time of submission if and where their article has been previously published or presented in a Seminar/Webinar.

· The version posted has not been peer-reviewed, or edited. However, papers presented in any National or International Seminar or Workshop, sent for publication, are accepted, with due acknowledgement of the sources in the paper.

· The articles have not previously been published in part or in whole within a scientific journal, or book.

· Upon acceptance of their article for publication in The IME Journal  the author(s) is still able to grant the journal License to publish the article, and agree to pay the article processing charge (APC).

· Author(s) are requested to update any pre-publication versions with a link to the final published article via its Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

 

Self-Archiving

The IME Journal actively supports the author(s) self-archiving process. Journal encourages author(s) to self-archive any version of their manuscript to personal or institutional websites, in repositories and similar, prior to and after the publication of their manuscripts, provided that the author(s) must acknowledge the published source with citation and link the final published article via its Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

Shri Prabhakar Chowki is the New Director (Mines) of NLC India Limited.

Shri Prabhakar Chowki, assumed office as Director (Mines) of NLC India Ltd., on 28/11/2018. Prior to joining NLCIL, he was working as General Manager in Coal India Limited (CIL), A Maharatna Company. Shri Prabhakar Chowki is an Engineering graduate in Mining from Osmania University passed out with Distinction. He holds, 1st Class Certificate of Competency (Coal) under the Indian Mines Act. He is a life member of Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI).

Manoj Kumar Director(Technical) OPerations of Western Coalfields Ltd.

Manoj Kumar assumed the charge of Director (Technical) in Western Coalfields Limited, Nagpur on Thursday. Prior to elevation as Director (Technical) he had served in various capacities in WCL / SECL and ECL since 1985. Kumar did his B.Tech (Mining Engineering) from IIT(Indian School of Mines) in 1985 and in 1989 obtained First Class Mine Managers’ Certificate of Competency. He also did M. Tech in Rock Excavation Engineering from IIT(ISM). Kumar joined Coal industry in the year 1985 in Old Rajnagar Colliery of Hasdeo Area. Since then he held several important positions during 17 years in WCL/SECL.
